Have you ever felt like you were doing the work, showing up every day, but somehow you were still... invisible?

Kristoff Cohran, an SGNN board member (and personal friend), tells a story that I love.

Turn your nonprofit's quiet potential into community-changing impact at SGNN's Connect • Learn • Lead 2026 Conference.

He says that growing up in rural Georgia he was such a quiet, observant kid that his teachers would sometimes mark him absent—even though he was sitting right there in the front row.

He was there, but he wasn’t seen.

That “quiet kid” grew up to be the Program Administrator for Colquitt Regional Medical Center’s Psychiatry Residency Program, a Georgia Trend 40 Under 40 leader and the founder of Mission 3E.

He realized that in our rural communities, potential often goes unnoticed simply because we lack the resources to amplify it.

Here is the “aha” moment I want to share with you today:

Your nonprofit doesn’t have to be the loudest in the room to be the most impactful.

You just need the right toolkit to turn your “quiet potential” into a community-changing force.

That is exactly why you don’t want to miss SGNN’s Connect • Learn • Lead 2026 Conference on March 12.

We’ve designed this day to give you the exact strategies and professional tools that leaders like Kristoff use to thrive.

We’re moving past the fluff and getting into the actionable tips you can use the very next day:

  • AI for Nonprofits: A hands-on deep dive with Sayge Medlin and Rebecca Nesbit to help you draft grants and emails safely (and get your time back!).

  • Legislative & Financial Security: Getting the “rules of the game” for 2026 from the experts at Coleman Talley and Carr, Riggs & Ingram.

  • Social Media Best Practices: Learning what is actually working right now to make sure your mission is finally being seen.

The Details:

  • When: March 12, 2026 | 7:45 am – 3:00 pm

  • Where: Second Harvest of South Georgia, Valdosta

  • Cost: $25 (Includes a Chick-fil-A lunch and your SGNN membership!)

I’ve had the privilege of watching Kristoff grow into an amazing influencer, and I want that same “blossoming” moment for your organization.

Don’t let your mission be “marked absent” this year.

See you there!

David

P.S. I grabbed Kristoff for my inner circle years ago. Maybe you can grab him (and 99 others) for yours at the conference!
